I especially liked this post as I recently had a disaster airplane trip with Gavin. His screaming tantrum ended up with him on the floor under my seat and the seat in front of me where he laid there and screamed into his blanket for about 20 minutes. I sure got some interesting stares from the people sitting next to me when they asked, "Are you going just to leave him there?"

"I sure am" I replied without batting an eye. I knew there was nothing I could do to make him better and was grateful that his cries were at least muffled a little. haha :) Funny now but it totally wasn't in the moment. Hope you and Michelle are doing well!

Happy birthday! (I started this yesterday)
I want to do this competition. Lee just finished a version of it that I didn't do and I'd like to have some motivation to exercise more, eat better, and drink more water. Besides we'll be in town in May and would love to be treated to dinner! :) Actually, Lee hasn't decided if he wants to do it again or not, so if he doesn't, can my sister be my partner? Send me the spreadsheet anyway and we'll be ready to start on Monday.
You should know that I'm in it to win it! :)

Mike, I'm in. I just need to find a partner willing to do this with me! I've done something like this before, and it was really cool. I liked the results and dedication of it, plus knowing that other people were doing it too. :)

Here are the things I will do with you...go thru the chunnel (we are planning to do that this August if that works with your schedule), French open, and swim 40 minutes in a pool but no salt water for me, and run Moab half :)

Speaking of Elder Bednar, have you checked out his book? It's called "Increase in Learning." Lee got it for me for Christmas and although I've barely begun, I love it already! It comes with a DVD that has an interview with the Bednar's and a video of a Q&A session with some young adults. Pretty cool! So far it's made me re-think my answer to what the most important thing is to teach our children.
